This past week Professor Rebecca Otten met with a delegation from Armenia coordinated through the International Visitor Leadership Program from the U.S. Department of State. The group discussed the social innovation landscape in the United States and social innovation education. Participants were particularly interested in understanding the role of for-profit social enterprises and hybrid organizations working at the intersection of the private and citizen sectors, including the implications of the Benefit Corporation.
