Design for America: Interest Meeting

12.01.2015 | 6:30 pm - 7:30 pm

Help Tulane start a chapter of Design for America (DFA)!

Design for America is a network of student-led studios creating social impact in our communities through interdisciplinary design. At Tulane we are familiar with volunteering our time through service learning. However, the DFA studio at Tulane aims to take this initiative further with a human-centered, creative approach to problem solving. This means that each semester, we will be working with a community partner to identify and address a daring problem in the community.

If you are interested in addressing real problems in a creative manner, DFA is for you! Through this collaborative process, you will gain experience with the human-centered design process (sometimes called Design Thinking) as well as build new connections with community members and students across disciplines.

No prior design or creative experience is required. Students from all majors are encouraged to join! We need at least 30 interested students in order to apply to become a DFA campus. Please contact Tano Trachtenberg, Taylor Design Thinking Fellow, at gtrachte@tulane.edu with interest or inquiries.
