Buckner-Headshot

As Associate Athletic Director for Student-Athlete Enhancement, Jada Buckner-Greer, Ed.D. works with student-athletes to assist them with personal and professional development including a better understanding of themselves and their future interests. She is interested in player development and personal development with focus areas in leadership development, the student-athlete experience including intersectionality, and guiding students through complex questions about their life and goals.

Previously, Buckner-Greer worked as Assistant Director for NCAA Compliance/Academic Certification Officer for Athletics at Tulane. Prior to her tenure at Tulane, she served as a postgraduate intern at the NCAA for academic and membership affairs in Indianapolis. As a former student athlete, Buckner-Greer has witnessed first-hand the jarring transition from wanting to be a professional athlete to suddenly changing course. Buckner-Greer knows firsthand what it’s like to navigate life after college sports, and she’s passionate about helping other students, especially athletes, prepare for what comes next. Whether they’re headed into professional sports or a new career entirely, she wants them to feel confident using the skills they’ve developed to make a meaningful impact in the world.

Buckner-Greer has a Doctor of Education in Global Sport Leadership and a master’s degree in Exercise Physiology and Sport Performance from East Tennessee State University.
