Anna Monhartova, Ph.D. has been part of the Tulane faculty teaching international development classes and service learning for 10 years.  Her diverse experience includes community engagement, social entrepreneurship, and non-profit leadership and management. In 2014 she joined Taylor to bring her knowledge to SISE classes.

Monhartova has combined education and practice throughout her career, teaching at Tulane University classes in International Development while being actively engaged in community service via a youth development organization. Her background uniquely positions her to work with students interested in social issues and solving complex problems.

Monhartova has received numerous awards for her community work, including a City Council Proclamation, the New Orleans Saints Community Quarterback Award, the St. Elizabeth Guild Volunteer Activist Award, Gambit’s 40 Under 40 Award, a City Business Women of the Year Honoree, the Angel Award for volunteer service from Blue Cross & Blue Shield of Louisiana, the Zurich Community Impact Award, and the “Louisiana Hero of Excellence” from the Louisiana Legislative Women’s Caucus Foundation, among others. 

Monhartova received her PhD from Tulane University in International Development.
