Tiye Jones is a life long educator who has worked with over 500 young people in New Orleans. Currently, Jones works at Tulane’s Center for Public Service, teaches Taylor Your Life, and serves as a design coach with TrueSchools, coaching six principals from around the nation on design, innovation, and transformation efforts within their schools.

Previously, Jones worked as a facilitator for Nola Our Way Youth Symposium and Teach for America’s National Office. Jones is passionate about education as the pathway for liberation for African-American youth, specifically young women. She knows that young women can and should live out the life of their dreams. Jones is devoted to community building, healing, and giving back in whatever way she can. Dance is her first love and she is an active board member of Dancing Grounds and Ivy New Orleans Leadership Academy. Jones is a certified Trauma Informed Yoga instructor and part of No Lye Comedy Collective, an all-black female standup comedy, improv and sketch collective.

Jones holds a bachelor degree in criminal justice from Temple University and a master’s in teaching from Louisiana College.
