Sofia Gomez is the 2021 Taylor Center Student Fellow in Digital Content. She is a second-year student from Bogotá, Colombia studying political science and communications. She is passionate about social justice and the importance of addressing intersectionality when it comes to solving everyday problems. Sofia was a social media intern for the non-profit Lift Louisiana and a writing and journalism intern at Where Y’at magazine in New Orleans.

After graduation, Sofia hopes to integrate dimensions of social justice into whatever career path that she chooses to pursue.  She strives to surround herself with people that integrate social equity into their work and professional aspirations which is why she is so thrilled to be collaborating with the Taylor Center. Some of her hobbies and interests include reading, spending time outside, fashion, and trying different foods.
