Join us on Wednesday, March 22nd, 2017 from 5 to 7 PM for our second “Social Innovation Conversation” of the spring featuring Taylor Research Fellow, Joshua Schoop who will discuss his work and lessons learned developing the Innovation Toolkit in support of the Obama’ White House Office of Science and Technology Policy (OSTP). Dr. Schoop will share about the Obama administration’s approach to diffusing new strategies across the Federal government aimed at improving government services. He will discuss his experiences working in support of the development of an “Innovation Toolkit” aimed at current and future government workers, and the potential for its future under the current administration. Dr. Schoop will field questions from the audience. The SI Conversation series is aimed at young scholars, faculty, research partners– anyone interested in the ways their research efforts can connect with the pursuit of social innovations, i.e., new, effective, and system-aware solutions to persistent social problems are encouraged to attend. We welcome doctoral students, faculty, post-doctoral researchers keen to learn more about research in social entrepreneurship and social innovation. Taylor aims to promote networking, explore pathways in social innovation research, and advance our social innovation research collaborations –at Taylor, Tulane, with local universities, and community partners.
