IGNITE: Community, Creativity, Change Orientation Program
In partnership with the Center for Public Service and the Office of Multicultural Affairs, the Taylor Center is hosting 60 incoming freshman for a short week of learning and service. IGNITE connects first-year students to people, resources, and opportunities to help them become a agents of change at Tulane, in New Orleans, and around the world – all while discovering local cultural gems and enjoying the amazing food and music available in New Orleans.
IGNITE provides students with an introduction to some of the social issues they will see in New Orleans during their college experience, and it also provides a series of mindsets, skills, tools, and resources to address social change. By the end of the week, students feel empowered to choose their own changemaker paths, and they have the knowledge of what resources are available across campus to create positive social change.
