Life Design at the Taylor Center brings together foundational elements of design thinking - empathy, creativity, prototyping and testing - with practices for deepening self-awareness, aligning purpose with career, and telling meaningful stories.

Core to our approach is an equity and inclusion lens on career development and life design. We value the diverse backgrounds and experiences that each person holds, and we recognize the systemic barriers that shape career trajectories. Our curriculum surfaces these dynamics and equips learners with tools to navigate them with greater agency and connection to themselves and their community.

Our equity-centered, systems-informed life design curriculum empowers participants as conscious, creative agents of change in their own lives and the world around them. Through our process, participants explore social and environmental issues they care about, reveal an ecosystem of individuals and organizations working towards solutions, and discover a wide range of changemaking career possibilities aligned with their values and interests. Our life design process is grounded in a sense of larger purpose, helping people craft lives and work that blend personal fulfillment with meaningful social impact.
