Part of the Changemaker Institute (CI) team, Josh works with co-fellows Carolyn and Liv to organize and facilitate the Changemaker Institute. Josh first got involved with the Taylor Center as an incoming freshman when he participated in the IGNITE Explore program. IGNITE exposed Josh to the amazing social innovation community in New Orleans, and taught him about the concepts of social innovation and design thinking. During his sophomore year Josh worked as a CI Fellow, helping to facilitate an 8-week social venture incubator for 24 participants. Josh is returning to the CI Fellow position this year, and is excited to use his experience with Taylor to help redesign the Changemaker Institute. He hopes to learn both how to develop new program curriculum, and how to better educate others on how to be a changemaker.
Josh is a junior from Springfield, OR, majoring in Finance and declared for the 4+1 Masters of Accounting program. Outside of Taylor, Josh works as a Resident Adviser in Sharp Hall, as a Shabbat Intern at Tulane Hillel, and as one of two Vice Presidents of Membership for the Pi Chi chapter of Alpha Kappa Psi. In the past Josh served as a Photography Editor for The Hullabaloo newspaper and spent most recent summers working for a logging company in Oregon. He is passionate about event and festival photography, loves the New Orleans music scene, and can usually be found playing board games or watching movies with friends.
