As Senior Department Administrator, Heather Marinaro manages the financial operations for the Taylor Center, oversees space use and operations at the Center’s Uptown location in Howard-Tilton Memorial Library as well as the downtown location in The Shop, and serves as the liaison to Tulane’s Office of Human Resources.   

Marinaro works closely with Taylor Center Executive Director Kenneth Schwartz on administrative management of the Center and on special projects such as Taylor Your Life, Project IX, and the Nitrogen Reduction Challenge.   

In 2018, Marinaro launched a lunch and learn summer series for Tulane Academic Unit Budgeters called ‘Finance + Food’ which headlined staff experts in Human Resources, Reporting, and Budgeting. Marinaro is working on expanding the series so that more staff can engage in this new learning opportunity that aims to enable Academic Unit Budgeters to better support their units.   

Marinaro is a cellist and holds a Bachelor of Music degree from Loyola University New Orleans and a master’s degree in Business Administration from Tulane University. In 2018, Marinaro received a Certificate in Nonprofit Finance from Rice University.   

Marinaro has been with Tulane since 2006. Immediately prior to joining Taylor, Marinaro worked in the Tulane Law School Office of Admission as the Director of Admission.
