Jeanne Firth is visiting from the Department of Geography and the Environment at the London School of Economics and Political Science where she holds a LSE Studentship. Jeanne is a PhD Research Student in Human Geography and the Environment and is part of the Urbanisation, Planning and Development Research Cluster. Her PhD research studies elite philanthropic engagement in foodscapes/agri-food systems in post-Katrina New Orleans, and she is supervised by Sylvia Chant and Austin Zeiderman. Jeanne holds a MSc with Highest Honors from the LSE in Gender, Development and Globalization (Best Degree Performance Award). Jeanne has worked closely with Small Center and Taylor previously as she was on the founding staff team of the Grow Dat Youth Farm and served as the organization’s first Assistant Director. She was the Co-Chair of the New Orleans Food Policy Advisory Committee and was adjunct Professor with the Payson School for International Development at Tulane University.
Jeanne is currently a Visiting Scholar at the Small Center for Collaborative Design and the Taylor Center for Social Innovation and Design Thinking at Tulane University.
