Design Thinking Colloquium with Professor Joanna Lombard @ University of Miami on October 16

Professor Joanna Lombard, dean at the University of Miami and Tulane School of Architecture alumna, will be hosting a Design Thinking Colloquium at the University of Miami. Professor Lombard co-teaches in the Ecosystem Science and Policy program and is an architect and Professor at the University of Miami School of Architecture. Her undergraduate degree is from Tulane University and her graduate degree is from Harvard University. At the University of Miami she teaches design in the core and option studios as well as courses on the theories of landscape and professional practice. She, Denis Hector, Fernando Miralles (CE and RSMAS) and Don Olson (RSMAS) collaborate on the undergraduate course, Architecture & the Environment. She is working with colleagues in the School of Architecture and College of Medicine on studies that examine the effects of the design of neighborhoods on the well being of children and the elderly, funded respectively by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation and the National Institute of Health.
