Tulane receives $15 million gift to create social innovation center

Tulane University has received a $15 million gift from Phyllis M. Taylor, the chair of the Patrick F. Taylor Foundation and a member of the Board of Tulane, marking one of the largest single donations in the school’s 180-year history.

The money will go to the creation of the Phyllis M. Taylor Center for Social Innovation and Design Thinking, which will enable students, faculty and researchers from different disciplines to solve problems dealing with the environment, health care and other issues, according to a news release.
